The Sun Above Us: Of Halos, Sun Rays And Sunsets

Sometimes, we do not even bother to look up to the sky or see the 'nothingness' surrounding us especially if we are outside of our homes or working places. And those 'sometimes' are the most likely times that the beauty of mother nature is manifested without us ever realizing it. Take occurrences of sun halos for example, it happened relatively frequent but not many would really appreciate the beauty of this natural phenomenon let alone immortalize it in pictures. The same goes with th different shades of sunsets and morning sun rays where their charms and beauties are almost ignored, so to speak.

Though in these days of the internet world we can easily search for literally thousands of pictures of these phenomenon, I can now be quite satisfied to be in the league of those who have taken the images of those occurrings and post them in the internet for others to see. How I wish I have a decent quality DSLR camera so that I might be able to take better quality pictures but with what I have presently does not disqualify me to share these pictures with readers of this blog. Though the quality of these pictures are far from perfect as compared to those taken by professional photographers, but then again, beauty they say lies on the eyes of the beholder.

By the way, today marks the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the USA, so this post is kind of my personal way of honoring and celebrating the occasion of some sort. I wonder if there would ever be a Malaysian Barack Obama in the future? Argh, never mind! Let's just see the pictures below.
